[Man 2 is sitting at a desk facing the camera. It’s an interview setting and a clapper stick is in front of his face with some words written on it for the scene.]
Director: That's all we're going to have.
Man 1: [inaudible] The market. Justin Fryer-Ben office in 50D take one. [ A person claps the clapper stick then moves it out of the way so just man 2 is seen.]
Man 2: Yeah. So in my role we spend a lot of time and a lot of effort trying to figure out patterns and how students are doing. And most of the time we're looking at aggregates of the whole, of how students are rating specific courses and how students are doing in the programs as a whole. And that's by necessity that's where our effort is.
But it's important to remember that behind all of those numbers, behind all of the data are individuals and individuals who are changing the entire trajectory of their family and of themselves and their family and who they are. Because we're launching them into or they're launching themselves into just different opportunities.
So it's been fun because as I look at reports or generate reports and look at the progress of people as a whole, Justin is a good reminder to me that this is about—It's a good reminder to me that this is about individuals and individual success stories. And and I think Justin for me teaches that.
Director: Okay. Anything else you might want to mention here in this on the office settings as far as in the video however much of this we choose to use. I think the idea would be, you're an administrator. And that this is something that struck very close to home for you. And so it's a combining of the two things.
Man 2: Yeah.
Director: Anything else, your thoughts? You guys had this recent because we read through the transcript recently, undermine as far as that kind of setting. Because you kind of talked about the numbers—It's never been about the numbers.
Man 2: Yeah.
Director: The numbers are just a gauge for us to kind of determine how we can best help those. But sometimes we get lost in the numbers.
Man 2: Yeah. I think the part that I would add is how much the Lord has been involved in this whole process from beginning to end. And the little signals that we see, and the little evidences of the Lord's hand through all of these processes. Like I always have this little thing that I draw on the whiteboard. It's like this squiggly little line.
In fact I think I've got one up there right now. It's this squiggly little line that over time as it goes to the side like it eventually gets more clear. And I've used that a lot of times with our teams to indicate that we don't always know exactly what the game plan is or we don't always know the implications of the new software, or a policy, or a way of doing things.
But over time our job is to get clarity on that and move to clarity and move to a plan. And I think I went into Justin's house and it was the coolest thing because I saw that exact same diagram up on their wall, they had painted it together as a couple in the midst of all the challenges with trying to go back to school and hold down family life and all the things that they had done.
They had used it to symbolize very similar thing that during this season of our life there's a lot of unknowns and a lot of uncertainty but we're just going to keep on. We're just going to keep on working, we're going to keep on trying and over time then things will become more clear and that we're going to be patient in the process. And I don't know to me that was just one evidence that the Lord, he's at the helm. And this is his work and his glory.
Director: Awesome. Thank you. I do want to let's go ahead and cut. You guys can go ahead and breakdown the—[Noise]
