NIRSA Triventure Institute Committee Charges

Last Updated: May 6, 2019

Description

Started in 2013, the NIRSA Triventure comprises of three tracks: aquatics; fitness and wellness; and facilities, under one roof. Attendees can attend any educational session, facility tour, or social — regardless of specialty area.

NIRSA’s mission, vision, and strategic values guide the “how” and “why” for our professional development offerings, networking opportunities, and resources, as well as all strategic priorities.  NIRSA committees are expected to fulfill their charges, operate the committee, and make decisions and recommendations consistent with NIRSA’s values and in support of NIRSA’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

Event Committee Structure

The institute committee is comprised of NIRSA member volunteers who are charged to assemble content for the institute and any preconference events. The goal is for each educational track to have two subject matter experts on the committee. Along with the subject matter experts, there will be co-chairs (2) and one consultant. The committee will have 9-12 members.

2019-2020 Charges

  1. The committee is responsible for identifying topic areas, develop an event theme, if desired, recruit a keynote speaker, recruit, review, and select educational content, and work with local recreation facilities for the facility tours.
  2. Committee members also assist on-site at the Institute to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Additional charges may be presented to the committee, or by the committee, during the year as new initiatives arise.
