- North Carolina would receive $2.9 billion in education funding from the HEROES Act
- The K-12 portion would be $1.9 billion
- That’s enough to save or restore the positions of:
- 11,504 teachers,
- 2,542 teacher aides, and
- 7,851 other education workers.
Direct Aid to State and Local Governments
- North Carolina would receive $13.4 billion in direct state aid
- Local governments in North Carolina would receive $8.9 billion in direct aid
Healthcare
- North Carolina would receive $3.7 billion in Medicaid funding through the HEROES Act
