2v2 Rule Set Halo CE
1. 2v2 Tournament Seeding
- Seeding will be done randomly amongst teams registered. The higher-seeded team shall choose their team color which must be retained for the duration of the match.
2. 2v2 Tournament Format
- Sunday:
- The tournament begins with a 16-team double-elimination format.
- All matches in this stage are best-of-three (Bo3) series.
- All Matches will be played in Team Slayer mode.
3. Match Hosting
- The team with the higher seed will host matches 1 and 3 in a best of 3 series, or maps 1,3,5 in a best of 5 series. While the lower seeded team will host map 2 in a best of 3, or 2, and 4, in a best of 5 series.
4. Event Rules
- Players must play at all times to the best of their abilities, within the rules of the game “Halo CE”.
B. Match Times
- The Tournament Operator will be responsible for communicating with teams on when players will be playing their matches. However, it is the responsibility of the players to be in the venue, and be paying attention to announcements on the bracket or over the intercom for the location of their next match.
- Failure to report to station in the initial 10 minutes after announcement will result in forfeiture of Map 1, 5 minutes after for Map 2, and if needed for Best of 5, a total of 20 minutes after announcement will result in Map 3.
C. Equipment
- Players are responsible for bringing their own following equipment:
- Wired Controller
- Headphones/Headset
- Mixamp Splitter
- Audio Splitter (if needed for Splitscreen)
- Personal Identification for Check-In
- The Tournament Operator will be providing the Original Xbox Console, the Television, as well as a mixamp at each Television. Players are not permitted to alter any of the Tournament Operator’s equipment without permission from the administration.
- Controllers with any Turbo or Wireless capabilities are not permitted to compete in the Tournament.
D. Game Modes
- The following game modes and maps will be the gametypes played in the Tournament. The order of game modes and maps will be selected by the administration. Players must follow the correct order of maps, and not deviate from the order provided.

- Derelict
Below are the Game Settings that players must adhere to when playing in the following Game Modes and Maps, as well as additional rules at the bottom:

E. Restarts/Lag
- If a player disconnects within the first thirty (30) seconds of the game and/or before the first kill, the game should be ended. The Administration reserves the right to make any final decision on any disconnect or lag situations. This may result in restarts, game scores, and more. Players are not permitted to end the game without the administration’s awareness.
- Game Restarts
- Team Slayer Games: Should there be any disconnection, the restart of the game will have the teams starting the game at the score of the match when the disconnect occurred. The administration will have final say on the scores.
F. Behavior
- All Participants must at all times observe the highest standards of personal integrity and good sportsmanship and act in a manner consistent with the best interests of the Tournament, in each case as determined by Administration. Participants must behave in a professional and sportsmanlike manner in their interactions with other competitors, members of the Administration, the media, sponsors and fans.
- Participants shall not use obscene or offensive gestures or profanity in their tags, player handles, game chat, live play communications, lobby chat, shoulder content, interviews, or other public-facing communications of any kind. This rule applies to English and all other languages and includes abbreviations and/or obscure references. Participants are expected to settle their differences in a respectful manner and without resort to violence, threats, or intimidation (physical or non-physical). Violence is never permitted at any time or place, or against any person including competitors, fans, referees and officials.
- The obligation to behave in a professional and sportsmanlike manner includes an obligation on the part of Participants to arrive on time and ready to compete for all games, matches and tournaments in the Tournament schedule. Such obligation also prohibits forfeiting a game or match without reasonable cause.
- The Tournament is a place for players from around the world, from different cultures, and from different backgrounds, to come together to compete and share their passion for the Game. Participants in the tournament should be focused on bringing the world together through epic entertainment, celebrating the Game, players, and fans, and building diverse and inclusive communities. Participants must refrain from disruptive or divisive behavior, commentary, or other forms of expression during the tournament(including without limitation any Match) or on any official channels (e.g., Match broadcasts, watch parties, and social media channels).
- Participants shall not wear, display or otherwise convey personal messages without express approval from the Administration, which approval shall not be granted for political messages.
- Any form of cheating by any Participant will not be tolerated. All Participants are prohibited from influencing or manipulating any game match (whether a Tournament match or otherwise) with the intent that any aspect of the match is determined by anything other than the competitive merits.
- Examples of cheating or behavior impacting game integrity are not exhaustive, and include without limitation:
- Collusion, match fixing or any other action to intentionally alter, or attempt to alter, the results of any game, match or tournament (or any components thereof);
- Attempts to interfere with another player’s connection to the game service.
- Allowing an individual who is not the registered owner of a Player Account to play on that Player Account in a game and/or playing in a game while logged in to a Player Account registered to someone else;
- Bot use, spot timing (e.g., not throwing the game, just timing a shot so bettors win), wintrading or stream sniping (i.e., a game spectator illegally provides, or such Player individually obtains, information about an opponent’s positions and/or movements), inducing another Participant to lose a match, and receiving information from online or fellow audience members;
- Misuse or hacking of Game servers;
- Use of unauthorized or restricted items;
- Violent, threatening or harassing behavior in any setting, (offline and online);
- Possession of a weapon at the facility;
- Inappropriate use of Tournament Operator’s equipment;
- Any other actions or conduct that threatens to undermine the integrity of the Tournament.
