Meet Me at the Motel
I wish you would not love me again,
and know when no’s a no.
Kept wishing- wishing- I had dreamed
That you would take the clue
And see the women you have treated
A scent of bottled rum-
Kept begging, begging you’d be caught
My voice, a silent hum,
And then my ears, a cautious knock
And there was my new goal
With all my might I sprung revenge,
Then I had all the control,
As screaming sirens neared the hotel
And shards of broken beer
And bloody scratches gashed your face
Wrecked, silent, with no fear-
And then you gargle, whine, and choke,
And you, the sin will drown, and drown-
And filling; stopping, pulsing lungs.
Until we meet in Hell again-
