Congratulations to the 7th Grade A team on their win yesterday against Oakridge.


Boys JV/Varsity and Girls JV/Varsity Basketball teams play in the Les Schwab Tournament today and Saturday.

Wrestling has a meet at Jefferson today at 3:00 p.m.

Wrestling has a meet at Springfield on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.


Spanish Club meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 12th, in Room 16 at lunch.

High School students who achieve 3.5 GPA or higher at the end of each quarter receive a prize in recognition of their hard work.  The prize for Quarter 1 will be given Tuesday, December 12th, at lunch.  The list of Quarter One 3.5 GPA students is posted on the office window.  Come to Mrs. Doe's room 19 at the start of lunch to receive your reward.

The MS/HS Winter Vocal Concert is Wednesday, December 13th, at 7:00 p.m. in the HS student center.

The MS/HS Winter Band Concert is Thursday, December 14th, at 7:00 p.m. in the HS student center.


Juniors and Sophomores - PSAT scores will be released next week between Dec. 11-13.  Each student will receive an email explaining how to access your scores online.  Individual score reports will not be sent to the school until Dec. 15.  Those will be handed out as soon as we receive them.

Middle School Student Council is selling Candy Grams with a note at lunch in the Student Center, starting today through December 14th.  For $1, send a candy cane and a note of kindness to someone.  You can also send 3 candy canes for $2.  The candy canes and note will be passed out the following day during 3rd period.  Make someone smile with a Candy Gram!

Baseball has 15 poinsettias left to sell.  They will be available beginning today and cost only $20.  Contact Coach Dube at the high school if you are interested.

There are quite a few pieces of jewelry in the lost and found.  Check with the front office to see if any of it may be yours.  It will be donated during the break.


Basketball signups are in the main office for any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in playing this winter.  Get your name on the list and make sure to sign up online through Family ID as well.  The deadline to sign up is Friday, December 15.  Practice starts in January when we get back from winter break!


Seniors - Miners Graduate Services will be here on Friday, December 8th to hand out information about ordering your cap and gown and graduation announcements.  Please report to the Student Center at the beginning of 3rd period on Friday.


Juniors and Sophomores - FBI Youth Academy July 9-July 13 in Salem, Oregon - Experience an inside look at the workings of the FBI. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to engage with FBI agents, law enforcement officers, forensic experts, and community leaders to foster academic excellence, leadership skills, team building and career exploration.  Applications will be available January 1 and can be found at (outreach tab).  You must be a junior or senior in the 2018/2019 school year.  See Ms. Ruiz in the counseling office for more information.


Today the canteen will serve pizza or uncrustable PBJ, carrots, apples, and mandarin oranges for lunch.  Monday they will serve cold cereal or bagel and cream cheese, fruit/juice, and choice of milk for breakfast and chicken nuggets or grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, oranges/raisins, and carrots for lunch.


The REACH program at PHHS has created a giving tree that needs toys!  There are tags on the tree to choose from.  Come grab one and help give a toy to a child in need.  Toys can be delivered to Mrs. Bonaventure’s room.  Help make the holidays bright for someone this year.  The giving tree will end on Friday, December 15th, before winter break.
