TES Mini-Grant Application Guidelines
These grants are used for items or activities that go "above and beyond" regular school supplies and activities that are already funded by TES or TESCA. Examples include educational programs provided by third-party organizations, special classroom enhancements, and more. These ideas can be out of the box!
Criteria for Mini-Grants
- Mini-grants must benefit students at The Expedition School.
- Mini-grant purchases become property of TES and their classrooms.
- Teachers must use the funds and submit for reimbursement before June 15 following the end of the school year. If the funds are not used and a reimbursement request submitted by June 15, the funds roll back into the TESCA general fund for the following year.
- Applying for a mini-grant does not guarantee that the funds will be awarded. Grants are approved on a first come first served basis, and are contingent upon funds available.
- Grants will be considered for funding starting on July 15th for each school year and no later than May 1st of that school year.
- TES Administration must sign off on the request as part of the application prior to submission in order to verify that funds are not already allocated in TES’s budget.
Mini-Grant Application Process
- Complete the Mini-Grant Application. If you need any assistance with the application, contact the TESCA steering committee at tescaadmin@tes-ca.com or attend a TESCA meeting.
- Submitting the application form will send it to TES administration for review, after which it will be returned to you or forwarded to TESCA for approval.
- TESCA will review the mini-grant proposal at their next regular meeting. A TESCA representative will contact the applicant with an approval or request more information if needed. If the grant cannot be approved because funds are unavailable, TESCA will reach out to the applicant and TES to discuss.
