All Inclusive Destination Wedding on an Island in Lake Kariba
This awe inspiring place, located on Lake Kariba, is the ideal spot to make your special day perfect with views out over the lake and the Matusadona mountains creating the most spectacular backdrop. The cry of the fish eagle and the occasional elephant visitor will make this a truly memorable day.

accommodation
The Island is able to accommodate 50 guests. Extra accommodation can be arranged on houseboats.
Ceremony
The ceremony is often held under the giant fig tree, with the Matusadonas in the background. We have an arch available that you may decorate in any style in accordance with your color scheme.
At the ceremony we can set up a small bar area that can serve the below or any additions at your request.

After the ceremony is finished the wedding party will head off for photo’s and the rest will enjoy canapés and refreshments under the fig tree.
reception
This will be set up in front of the bar, and we are able to set up fairy lights if requested.
Please note we require you to supply all decorations.
We supply white table cloths and white chair covers.
catering
Our chefs at Spurwing are renowned for their exceptional food. We go out of our way at the Island to ensure we cater to every functions different needs.
We are always open to new suggestions and ideas.
Wedding Cake - supplied with full details and recipe we are able to make simple wedding cakes, cost will be solely dependant on the ingredients and degree of difficulty.
Bar
Our bar at Spurwing is well stocked with a wide range of products at competitive prices , we ask that no alcohol is brought onto the island as this is against our liquor license policy’s. Please advise if you require any special requests as so we can source prior to the function.
Flowers
We have ample cold room space to keep all flowers etc before the function.
Music
We ask that you source an independent band, DJ, as we cannot cater for large functions with respect to sound.
We also ask that we keep in mind that Spurwing Island is situated in a National Park and therefore noise pollution should be kept at a minimum.
We also have neighbouring camps who we need to respect so please keep this all in mind when planning.

Again please source your photographer we have got details of previous photographers who know the area and have great ideas as they have been out here first hand before.
