Sunrise At The Beach
It was an early morning on a lovely Sunday. The sky was dark and cloudy while the moon was still shining bright. The alarm clocks spoke 6:47. I have just woken up tired and headed to the bathroom. Of course I saw my dad brushing his teeth while I was applying toothpaste onto my toothbrush. The toothpaste gave me a minty taste and refreshed my mouth. After 2 minutes of brushing my teeth, I headed back to my bedroom and got changed into my clothes. Of course I wore some clothes that were flexible and breathable for myself. I have just finished brushing my hair into a neat, low ponytail and went to the kitchen. When I arrived at the kitchen, I saw my dad tying up his shoes and was ready to go. I have just finished tying up my shoes and was ready to go but then I remembered something. I forgot to get my water bottle! Luckily I was still in the kitchen so I went to grab it from the fridge and headed to my dad. After a few minutes of preparing my bike, I was ready to go and blast. After a few peddles, I was on the road and that's when it all started.
It was kinda freaky since it was my first time riding my bike on the road but luckily my dad was there to help me. There was only a limited amount of cars passing by and some other people riding on their bikes. After a few minutes of peddling(maybe 10-15 minutes), I didn’t notice the sun was about to rise. But since it's been a few minutes, me and my dad had arrived at the Waikanae Beach which was one of the best places to watch the sunrise/sunset. “Let’s go and eat some breakfast at Captain M,” which I noticed was a few peddles away. While directing my bike to Captain M, I felt a light hitting my face. The sun was rising! So I notified my dad that I was gonna go sit on the beach and watch the sunrise. As I was sitting myself on the sand, I felt the sand crawling up my toes and had the possibility to smell the salty water a few steps away. While watching the splendid sunrise to the top of the sky, the wind blew to my direction making my hair sway behind me.
After 30 minutes of eating and watching the sunrise, me and my dad were ready to head home. As I was peddling my way back home, the roads became busier. It was full of cars and parked spaces but it wasn’t a problem for me. It doesn't matter as long as I am safe. But there was a difficult move that blocked my way. The way into my home. But let me talk about why it was blocking my way. First of all it was a u-turn then a quick turn to the left. You don’t want to know how fast my heart was beating. My heart was beating like Sonic the Hedgehog. But I had to face my fears and do it. Phew! I was safe.
