LWVSJ Observer Corps*: Friday Harbor Town Council, August 7, 2025 After a public hearing the Council passed the Fats, Oils and Grease Program ordinance.

The work on the Wastewater Plant begins on August 18. The town administrator negotiated a renewal of a 3-year lease on the Town Public Parking area on Spring Street.

The town attorney trained town staff on responding to public records requests and First Amendment audits. Michael Liptack, the new public works director, begins working on August 18.

Council added discussion of the development agreement for the Malcom/ Argle Housing Project to the August 21 meeting agenda.

The Town Council agreed to reinstate the Project Manager position in the Public Works department.
