There are three kinds of proposals that will be considered at the 2025 DSA National Convention: amendments to DSA's Constitution or Bylaws, amendments to DSA's Platform, and general resolutions. For any proposal to be considered on the Convention floor, it must be signed by 250 DSA members in good standing before May 11th. This year, in order to make signature validation easier for DSA's staff, signature collection is happening through the DSA Forums, which have membership verification built into the account creation process. This is how you can access the DSA Forums and find the resolutions members have submitted so far for consideration.
- Go to https://optin.dsausa.org/ and enter the email associated with your DSA membership.
- Check your email for your DSA Forum log-in information and follow the instructions to create your DSA Forum account.
- On the forums, go to one of the following pages:
- https://discussion.dsausa.org/c/convention-2025/con25-resolutions/ for general resolutions
- https://discussion.dsausa.org/c/convention-2025/con25-pc/ for platform amendments
- https://discussion.dsausa.org/c/convention-2025/con25-cb/ for amendments to DSA's Constitution or Bylaws
- https://discussion.dsausa.org/con-dashboard for a dashboard listing all proposals and signature numbers
- Find any proposals you’d like to consider signing.
- Read the resolution’s text in full before signing!
- If you’d like the resolution to be discussed at the 2025 Convention, click the radio button labeled "Sign On"
