Official CSGA Rules
(All rules approved by Rulebook Committee)
- Sportsmanship
- A “League Round” (Round that will be Counted to your season Score) Must be decided and ANNOUNCED to your Leaguemates before your first drive off of the first teebox.
- Season Runs from May 1 to whenever the golf courses close
- All round cards must be submitted to the Commissioner with no less than 2 CSGA members signed on, If you are signing a co-members card you are agreeing that this scorecard follows the tour rules exactly. Any instances of cheating or collusion will result in receiving a +20 Stroke penalty for the season, Multiple instances will result in revoked membership.
- If you miss a course by seasons end you will take a course score equal to the highest current handicap +0.5.
- Rules For Play
- All “League Rounds” Must be played from the white tees for the entirety of your round
- All League Rounds must be played with 14 clubs or less in your bag (Including your putter)
- Picking up a Double Par (Forfeit Hole) Results in a Score of Double Par +1 for the means of Counting score (EX. Par 4 = 9, (8+1), Par 3 = 7, (6+1))
- Relief and Mulligans
- There are No Mulligans Allowed at any point during a league round, You are allowed to reshoot provided you count the stroke penalty.
- If you hit “Double Par” you are permitted to pick up your ball and move on to the next hole
- All drops, shots into hazards or lost balls will be subjected to having the single stroke penalty applied. All Drop/lost ball replacements must be placed within two club lengths of the hazard/area and can never be placed closer to the pin/ dropped towards the pin.
- You are allowed to move your ball if it is on a man-made hazard (Cart path, Gravel road, sprinkler head etc) without applying the single stroke penalty provided that you always move the ball farther away from the pin, never closer and keep the movement limited to within one club length from the man-made hazard.
- You are not permitted to clean your ball until you are on the green, you may begin your putting by cleaning your ball provided you mark the ball before removing for cleaning.
- Gimme Length For the purpose of close putts is restricted to the ENTIRE BALL being within a (20 inches) radius of the cup, All instances of doing this will be counted as a stroke. No Gimmes will be allowed on Par chance putts or better
