Holy Trinity

Heavily inspired by transcendentalism, I use oysters as a metaphor for the human body as a shell which I believe contains our a omnipresent spirit within us all.  In three stages the painting of oysters illuminate the process of change from physical to spiritual. Furthermore, shells are made of calcium which is great for the earth’s fertility. Much like our bodys when we pass away, we become apart of the earth once again. This painting represents my fascination with rebirth and the process of recycling.
