1. Introduction and Commitment Statement
Pike Fury FC is deeply committed to being a leader in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) across all facets of our activities. We firmly believe that embracing all areas of EDI is fundamental to creating a truly accessible and inclusive environment for everyone connected with our club. Our aim is to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances, feel welcome, respected, and valued within the Pike Fury FC family.
We actively encourage all of our supporters, staff, volunteers, and partners to embrace and uphold these vital principles.
2. Scope of Policy
This policy applies to:
- All individuals participating in or attending Pike Fury FC activities.
- All Pike Fury FC staff, coaches, volunteers, management, and board members.
- All entities, organisations, or individuals affiliating with or partnering with Pike Fury FC.
3. Core Principles of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Pike Fury FC is committed to:
- Equity: Ensuring fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all, while striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups.
- Diversity: Recognising and valuing the differences among people, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, socio-economic status, and national origin.
- Inclusion: Creating an environment where every individual feels a sense of belonging, is respected for who they are, and can participate fully and authentically.
- Accessibility: Striving to remove barriers to participation and access for all individuals.
- Fairness: Ensuring all processes, decisions, and opportunities are fair and transparent.
5. Policy Review and Monitoring
This Equity and Inclusion Policy will be reviewed annually by Pike Fury FC's Board of Directors and Senior Lead – Equity and Inclusion, or sooner if there are changes in legislation, best practice, or internal procedures. All staff and affiliates will be informed of any updates.
