  1. Unit Tests/Benchmarks: All tests CAN include multiple choice,

free response, or true/false. No retakes will be given for unit tests

or benchmarks.

  1. Quizzes are about once every 2 weeks and will be announced ahead of time. You will be given plenty of time (what I determine to be) in the class period for a quiz and will be expected to be able to complete them within the time given.

  1. Retakes: Quiz correction, remediation assignment, and a check in are required prior to the opportunity for a quiz retake. Quiz correction forms are available on top of the filing cabinet in the back of the classroom and will be due a week from the day the tests are returned. You will need to complete a remediation assignment (this will look different each time) after quiz correction is complete. Then you must set up a time during study hall, central time, or before school to remediate with me before you can retake Quiz.

Daily Grades: 30%

  1. Tasks, Explorations, Class Activities or Worksheets: You will be expected to work in groups often, which will require presentation of problems to your group as a means of checking for understanding.

  1. Homework: Be prepared to spend at least 30 minutes per night on homework. It is important to do the homework in a timely manner since math builds. While I will not be taking up your homework as they are intended for you to use as practice, I will be giving you “daily” homework checks (4-5 question checks) to check for understanding.

c. I will NOT accept any assignments electronically unless I give directions to do so.

V.        Supplies

We will use graphing calculators often in our class. If you do not have your own calculator, you may use mine. However, you will not be able to take the class calculators home – in which case, you can use a graphing calculator app or a Desmos Calculator at home.
