While we are not yet know which courses will be offered at which levels for the 2018-2019 school year, below is a brief description of each course as they are currently taught:

Health and Physical Education

Health and Physical Education classes are taught at the fourth through eighth grade levels focus on life-time sports and fitness knowledge and skills as well as general health instruction. All students take a Health and Physical Education class.


Middle School Band offers first level instrumental music for marching and concert band.

Music (Vocal and Instrumental)

Music Enrichment classes focus on general appreciation of music in theory and practice.

Computers and Technology Applications

Two different courses are offered at the fourth through eighth grade levels - one beginner and one intermediate. The focuses of these classes are keyboarding skills, use of GSuite Tools for communication and productivity, and Google Classroom.

Science Elective (STEM)

The science elective focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills used in innovative design thinking and maker space activities.

Art (Visual/Design)

There are two different Art classes offered: Art appreciation focused on fine arts in general, and Design using multiple medias including paints, fabric, etc.

Study Skills

This class focuses on organizational and study skills, understanding yourself as a learner, and applying basic guidelines to improve test readiness.

Life Skills

Our life skills class provides a broad overview of social-emotional awareness, entrepreneurship, world languages, and other character development necessary for successful interaction in today's world.
