St. Stanislaus Kostka Religious Education for Grades 2-8  (English & español)

PARENTS are the first and best teachers and the most effective role models for their children in matters of faith and morals, especially at early ages.  Therefore, religious education and sacramental preparation at St. Stanislaus Kostka uses a family-based Catechism Program “Family of Faith,” from Sophia Institute. The Family of Faith program is a 4-year curriculum of religious education which follows the 4 main themes in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: the Creed, Mass and the Sacraments, Christian Morality, and Prayer.

In this program, parents/guardians instruct their children in the home using materials provided and with the guidance and support of parish volunteer catechists.  Materials include 2 lessons a month based on the curriculum for each year, children’s workbook, and ideas for games, conversation starters, readings, and crafts.  Materials include ideas for various age levels.  Materials are available in English and Spanish.  Parents will choose what language they wish at the time of registration.
