Local Purchasing
As a public agency, the Board of Education comprehends its responsibility to ensure that the educational value is maximized in relation to cost. Therefore, the Board will make its purchases locally whenever bids and prices are fully comparable with those of outside bidders. Specifically, local purchasing will be favored whenever the following factors are equal between local and non-local vendors:
1. Quality of product
2. Suitability of product
3. Price
4. Conformance of specifications
5. Convenience of delivery
6. General reputation of business firms
7. Past services to school district
