ANGST: RAISING AWARENESS AROUND ANXIETY

The Bellevue Schools Foundation, in partnership with Medina, Chinook and Odle I-Connect, and Chinook Middle School, are hosting a screening of an important film, Angst, created to start community conversations about ANXIETY and provide tools, resources and hope.
IndieFlix, a leading independent online streaming platform, is sparking a global conversation about anxiety through screenings of its timely documentary, “Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety”. Chinook Middle School will host a special screening of the documentary to open up a dialogue between local families, community leaders and experts. The event will feature a viewing of the 56-minute film, followed by an informative panel discussion. Panelists are Maria Barrios, parent from Medina Elementary School; Dr. Rindee Ashcraft, Polaris Family Behavioral Health; and a School Counselor (TBA). Children over age 10 are welcome to attend with an adult.

Kindering Free Parenting Class
When: Mondays from 6-8pm, February 25th to April 29th

Kindering is pleased to offer a free parenting class to parents of children from 2 through 12. The ten-week class focuses on basic parenting skills such as managing anger and effective communication. Kindering has been providing free parenting classes to the community since 1991. Registration can be via email, fax or mail. Classes fill quickly and are on a first-come, first served basis.

Premiere Dance Center
Premiere Dance Center is a family-friendly dance studio located between Redmond and Bellevue. With professionally trained instructors and inclusive, hard working students, Premiere opens their arms to any child looking for dance training and/or new friends! Whether the child aspires to dance professionally, perform in competitions, or just take one fun class a week for fun, PDC has the perfect fit. We have classes for children ages 3-18, as well as an adult program, with genres from tap to ballet, (and many more), available. First classes for new students are free of charge. Just a few campouts per year where cabins and good food are provided. The Y organizes everything for you. The program is for grades K-3. The Center for Wooden Boats -
Free Public Sail
Every Sunday, 11am-3pm. South Lake Union, The Center for Wooden Boats, 1010 Valley St., Seattle. This fun event allows visitors the chance to sail in classic boats around Lake Union. Rides available throughout the day and last about 45 minutes. In-person sign-ups begin at 10am; space is limited and rides fill quickly. One person may sign up five other people who are not present, but no phone reservations are accepted. All ages are welcome and we have life jackets for everyone. Sails take place rain or shine, but wind conditions may keep you at the dock.
