Advising Workshop: Signature Scholarship Program Students - their advising needs and their potential benefit to you

Dear Colleagues,

The Office for Academic Advising and the Signature Scholarships Programs are sponsoring a workshop on advising and supporting Signature Scholarship Program students.

JCU’s four Signature Scholarship Programs are: Arrupe Scholars, Leadership Scholars, Honors Program, and Social Innovation Fellows.

The first and second years have important foundational courses to prepare students for their academic pursuits. Learn the pathway for each program, and more importantly, how can the research skills of Signature Scholars aid in your own pet projects?

Please come prepared to eat, and with three wish list items:

  1. If you had more time to spend on research, where would your time be spent?
  2. Through the lens of our Jesuit/Ignatian heritage, where do we need to see increased advocacy activity?
  3. How do you desire our students to improve in their leadership capacity?

Use imagination in small group discussions to generate ideas that will enhance our JCU community and society at large.

Join Signature Scholarship Program Directors and staff at one of the two workshops:

Lunch will be provided,  Please RSVP through this link by Friday. February 1st.

Please contact Lauren Fraser with questions or for additional information.
