Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests and Reports 

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 31, 2023 through November 6, 2023

November 1, 2023- St. Clair County deputies arrested Phillip Thornburg at the Bates County Jail on a St. Clair County warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond is $15,000 cash surety.

November 1, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northwest 1001 Road in Osceola for a deceased subject. Next of kin was notified.

November 1, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to North Poplar Street in Appleton City for a hit and run accident.

November 1, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast Highway B in Osceola for a burglary. Investigation is ongoing.

November 1, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Highway K in Osceola for a medical call. Female subject was transported to CMH in Bolivar.

November 2, 2023- St. Clair County deputies received a call from Southeast Highway J regarding trespassing on property. Information was taken.

November 2, 2023- St. Clair County deputies arrested Garion Peoples at the St. Clair County Court House on two Platte County warrants and one St. Charles County warrant.

November 2, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast Highway 82 in Osceola for a burglary. Several items were stolen.

November 3, 2023- St. Clair County deputies received a call to assist another agency.

November 3, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Pine St in Osceola for roadway debris. Report was forwarded to Osceola Police Department.

November 4, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast 1085 Private Road in Osceola for a report of property damage.

November 4, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to B Street in Osceola for a report of a structure fire.

November 4, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Southeast Highway 13 for a report of property found. Item found was a wallet. The wallet is being held at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office for safe keeping.

November 5, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to West 1st Street in Appleton City for a motor vehicle accident.  Deputies arrested Evan Ward and he is being held at the St. Clair County Jail with charges pending for Assault-1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Leaving the Scene of Accident-Property Damage Exceeding $1,000, and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony.

November 5, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to North Sugar Maple Street in Roscoe in reference to threats.

November 5, 2023- St. Clair County deputies responded to Northeast Highway C in Iconium for a report of a burglary. Items stolen were a portable washer, cabinets, and a roll of electrical wire.
