Financial Relief
- US citizens should be receiving checks or direct deposits thanks to the stimulus bill that recently passed. If you don't normally get a refund and the IRS doesn't have your banking information you can go here to enter your banking information. https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payments
- Families First Coronavirus Response Act: Employee Paid Leave Rights - Employees may be eligible for up to 12 weeks or full or partial pay for caring for children home due to school closures.
- Los Angeles residents (regardless of immigration status) with total annual incomes that fell below the federal poverty level prior to the COVID-19 crisis and have fallen into deeper economic hardship during the crisis because at least one household member has lost a job or experienced a reduction in income of at least 50% can qualify for an Angeleno Card. This is a prepaid debit card in an amount between $700-$1500 depending on family unit size. Apply at https://hcidla.lacity.org/

- Many credit cards will waive fees and defer payments so contact your credit card company.
- Car insurance companies may also reduce or waive payments so if you have car insurance call your provider.

- SoCal Gas is letting customers apply for CARE to receive 20% off of their bill. Just login and apply.
- The United Way has a COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund, to assist with bills, rent and food. Call (866) 211-9966 and they will provide a list of local agencies who can help.
- For information on Disability or Paid Family Leave - available for workers caring for sick or quarantined children or other family members.

Los Angeles Public Library
The Los Angeles Public Library is open online! You can read books, watch movies and tv shows, take a class, or learn a language from home with your library card.
Meals/Food
- LA City Parks Lunch Program - Free Grab & Go Lunches! - City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation & Parks will offer FREE Grab & Go lunches to kids & teens ages 1 through 18 at over 30 parks, starting June 29, 2020 until August 14, 2020.
- LAUSD is providing 60 Grab and Go Food Centers where students can pick up two healthy meals per day - CLICK HERE
- Santa Monica/Malibu providing two meals a day for students - CLICK HERE
- In Culver City, school lunches are available at the school cafeteria through March 20, and will resume availability after the scheduled Spring Break even if schools remain closed.
- In Burbank, Families who are on the meal program were notified regarding the availability of meals during school closure. During the school closure period, meals will be available to students on the free and reduced meal program. Please call the Food Service Office at 818-729-4539 for more information.
- WIC clinics under South Los Angeles Health Projects will remain open to the community. They will be remotely issuing participants food benefits onto their WIC cards to avoid families from going out given our COVID-19 pandemic. - In Los Angeles, the Dream Center will provide free meals to LAUSD students starting Monday, March 16. Breakfast from 7:30–9:30am. Lunch from 11:30am–1:30pm. Dinner from 4:30–6:30pm. Location: 2301 Bellevue Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90026.
Childcare
- Families First Coronavirus Response Act: Employee Paid Leave Rights - Though childcare is not available to non-essential workers, you may be eligible for up to 12 weeks or full or partial pay if you leave work to care for children home due to school closures
- As of March 19, school districts are not providing childcare.
- Some Boys and Girls Clubs are providing childcare for essential workers.

Immuno-Compromised and Families with Disabilities
While schools are closed, instruction will continue from home. If you need to keep your child at home after schools re-open, contact your schools and arrangements will be made.
Unsheltered and Housing Insecure Families
- Continuum of Care - Unhoused or housing insecure families should contact their local for assistance and/or also call 211 for help.
- LA Family Housing - Unhoused individuals and families can also reach out for resources and support.
- If you are or know of a foster youth that is staying at a college dorm room that is going to be closed due to the coronavirus, please email TogetherWise and they will provide or help you find housing during this transition.
- St. Francis Center provides meal services, clothing closets, showers/bathroom services, and rental and utility assistance programs (over the phone) for homeless and low-income individuals in Los Angeles.

- LAUSD Summer School Programming for All Ages - Continue learning safely and remotely with Los Angeles Unified over the summer with many possibilities! All programs require access to a computer through the internet. If your child attends a Los Angeles Unified TK-12 school and is in need of a device, please contact your school.
- Creative Writing & College Prep Courses - 826LA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
- Summer Play L.A. - Playing It Safe This Summer - This summer, the City is providing physical distancing, safe, and fun programs for youth ages 6 to 14 at forty-six LA City Parks. Enroll your child in affordable programming with activities such as non-contact sports, fitness programs, arts and crafts, and more. All programs follow guidance from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the American Camping Association.
- Although all Los Angeles Public Library locations are physically closed, you can still access our online resources with your library card. They are there to support students and families with their distance learning efforts.
- All LAUSD students are automatically assigned a Student Success Card. If a student doesn't have a physical library card or doesn't know their PIN, fill out this form and the Library will look up their library card number and PIN.
