Logistics Trainee - Job Description 

At Afrocenchix, we’re going through an exciting period of growth and we need a reliable Logistics Trainee to manage dispatch and packing in line with company targets.

It will be your job to work with our customer care and product team to pack and send orders efficiently and in a timely manner, stock take and ensure our packing room is kept clean and tidy. This is a fantastic role for a new graduate but we’re happy to take applications from all backgrounds. The ideal candidate for this role will be, confident, able to work independently, be enthusiastic about Afro hair care and have a keen eye for detail. There is opportunity to quickly progress in this role so this is perfect for someone who learns quickly and is keen to grow with the business.

We offer extensive training on our products and opportunities to progress as the brand grows.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Location: North London (cannot be performed remotely)

Pay: £21,000- £23,000

Main responsibilities:

• Picking and packing customer orders from our website
  Processing, picking and packing orders for the retail stores
• Arranging courier collections 
• Managing inventory and ensuring the warehouse is maintained at all times
• Regular stock-taking of products, marketing materials and inserts
• Working closely with the customer care team to provide excellent customer service
• Supporting the rest of the team and carry out other duties when required

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, hard working person who can work at a fast pace
• Extremely reliable and punctual
• Great team player who will work to increase productivity and meet targets
• Interest in natural hair industry
• Passion and energy for the Afrocenchix customer
• Friendly, confident, well-presented and customer-focused
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Basic IT skills
• Able to demonstrate a responsible attitude towards Health and Safety
• Physically fit enough to work in a role where most of the day is standing and requires some heavy lifting

Advantageous but not essential:

• Experience with picking and packing desirable but not essential
• Experience in warehouse management and workflows
• Experience in Trading Standards regulation and compliance

Education:

● GCSEs or equivalent

● A-Levels, IB, BTEC or equivalent
