The following regulations apply to the organization of the event "Scootentole Endurance Challenge" organized on 5 and 6 october 2019 by the Association Scootentole on the track "Club" the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit.

The race

this event is neither official nor federal nor for profit, it must be considered by the participants as a free activity, voluntary, and everyone shall be responsible. Drivers and teams sign a document accepting the established rules and commit to not turn against the organizers or site owners.

ENDURANCE CHALLENGE SCOOTENTOLE is a rally to allow access to the practice of two-wheeled circuit owners of so-called old scooters, as a friendly competition.

Are eligible to participate, all kinds of scooters, oldspeeds, having a metal carrier body or not, insofar as they meet the technical regulations.

These scooters can be particularly brand Piaggio (Vespa and derivative models under license: LML, Acma, Motovespa, etc.) Innocenti (Lambretta models), Rumi, Heinkel, Maico, Bernadet, Manhurin or others ... Brands scooters more confidential may be admitted as part of the technical regulation and the agreement of the organizers.

Note:The so-called scooters, modern, automatic, with a body made of plastic or not, are not allowed to participate in this event unless waived by the organizers.

Team

Definition

Each team consists of a scooter, at least 3 drivers and a maximum of 5 drivers,plus possibly a mechanic or a team leader. No team will be accepted with more than seven people in the pit area / boxes.

Registration

The registration file of each team must contain the following information:

the race number and allocation method will be defined by the organization at the time of registration.

The display of numbers is the responsibility of each team,taking into account the specifications below:

Equipment pilots

Minimum equipment required pilot:

The equipment must be secured and closed. On helmet visor track must be lowered. Anti-rain protection are allowed in case of bad weather, above the aforesaid equipment.

Identification on the site

In order to have access to different racing areas and allow the score, drivers and accompanying the team will fly continuously, the identification bracelet provided by the organization.

Allocation of boxes

The pit area / boxes is bounded. It is the organization that determines the location of the boxes for each team. The boxes must be ordered and linearly placed.

Participants must respect the cleanliness of the premises; each team will make the location of his OWN booth (trash, fuel traces ...) after the event.

Engineering Controls (TC)

Technical inspections and checks will be strict.

Without CT, participation in the running as the race will not be allowed.

The TC ensures that teams / scooters are consistent with the regulations and validate security features. Scooters presenting a danger to their driver or other participants will snap. The team must give free access to driver control equipment, scooter, as well as jerry cans and refueling systems.

Planning Preliminary

Briefing

A briefing will be held before the event. The presence of all team leaders is mandatory.

The schedule will be announced later.

Starting procedure

After a round "heating", teams scooters will be arranged on the grid, following the cob and the position obtained in qualifying.

If problems (technical or otherwise) arising during the tour starting grid, the return box is mandatory. If the problem can be solved before the closing of the grid, the team will be allowed to resume his place in the starting grid. Otherwise it will have to take his start from the pit lane, from all slender participants.

If a qualified team could not take the start, its location on the grid will be left empty.

Only two drivers in each team will participate in the start procedure. One said assistant driver will be responsible for maintaining the motor scooter in motion while the designated driver to the first relay will wait on the other side of the track. A lowered the flag drivers rejoin their scooter to begin the race. In the interest of safety, from the handling of the scooter, assistants drivers will depart and move away as quickly as possible from the edge of the track.

The assistant driver must also be equipped with: boots, coveralls and gloves at a minimum, recommended headset.

An early check pilot runners,the action pushing and / or intrusion track assistant driver will be penalized (see Penalties).

There are five categories:

Little Shell:are designated as "Little Shell", the frame of the following scooters:

Grosse Hull:are designated as "Big Shell", the frame of the following scooters:

Ranking

The race director will present the checkered flag 10 hours after  signifying departure,the end of the race. The panel 1 lap will not be presented to competitors.

To be classified, each scooter will pass under the checkered flag. All scooters have completed a full lap within 5 minutes after the winner of the passage will be part of the final ranking.

The final ranking will be based on the highest number of laps completed by the teams down to the checkered flag, after subtracting the (possible) penalties. Many scooters finishing in the same round will be decided by the passing order on the finish line.  

Race interruption (red or white flag)

For reasons of force majeure, the race director can interrupt the test.

Under red flag scooters have to pit and will rank without double front of the line out of the stands.

Under white flag, scooters will rank without double behind the safety car. The race director will wave the green flag to indicate the restart of the race the next round. The start will betype, launched pilot position being that the ranking at the time of the judgment. On the last lap before the restart, the safety car will disappear in the pit lane. It is prohibited to overtake before crossing the start line.

If stopping the race would take place after 9 hours of driving, 90% of the running time having been made, it can be stopped forever.

Note: The drivers can refuel or make a relay while the safety car is on track. Upon return to the track by the pit lane, it may be that the latter is closed (flag across the runway or red lights). Not until its reopening before taking the track, it is forbidden to double. The opening and closing of the pit lane will be detailed during the Saturday evening briefing.

Suspension or postponement of the event

The organization reserves the right, in exceptional circumstances, to suspend or postpone the race, without obligation for compensation to participants.

Application of Regulation

All cases under the technical regulation or not covered by this Regulation shall be decided by the Scootentole association. Anything that is not allowed and specified in that regulation is prohibited. Any dispute will be settled by the Scootentole after notice and notification of scrutineers. The Scootentole association reserves the right to change the regulations if special and unforeseen circumstances require.

Complaints

Any complaint, sporting or technical, must be made in writing to the Clerk of the Course. The time limit for filing complaints should not exceed 20 minutes after the end of the race.

You will need to attach to your claim a deposit of 100 €, which amount will not be returned if your claim is rejected.
