Job Description
Southwest Baptist University, a NCAA Division II institution, and proud member of the GLVC Conference invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Softball within the department of Athletics. This pre-professional, 12-month position includes an hourly stipend and tuition waiver and begins August 2021 and ends in May 2023. The position will have assignments in a wide variety of areas based on the needs of the team and the Head Coach. Preference given to those applicants coming from the NCAA D1 or D2 level. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for Southwest Baptist  University’s Graduate School.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with head coach to organize and run practices
- Assist with all practice and game set ups
- Plan, organize, and arrange aspects of team travel
- Oversee team fundraising: coordinate volunteers, assign duties, and assist in the planning, Â marketing and execution of camps and clinic
- Develop and disseminate marketing and promotional materials via social media in accord with SBU Athletic Department’s standard operating procedures.
- Track, compile and publish scrimmage and game analytics and statistics
- Assist in all on-campus recruiting per NCAA rules
