Biography

Kristy Headley (b. Ohio, 1984) is an alternative process photographer whose artwork focuses on liminal moments and the ecosystems of relationships. She uses photo techniques which involved hand-application or manipulation of photographic emulsions, including mordançage, salted paper printing, cyanotype, and wet plate collodion.

Her background is in archival imaging and digitization at Google and Internet Archive, specializing in books, large-format works, and 3-dimensional objects. She currently manages Collectors’ Photography Gallery in Corte Madera, California, and maintains a dry studio darkroom at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in San Francisco.
