Course options may include content in PK-12 school librarianship, collaborative planning, instruction in multiple literacies, inquiry based learning, trends in children’s and young adult literature, ethical and equitable access, library program advocacy, library programs, resources, and services

Students work independently to complete the requirements for their EdS degree. All courses for the EdS at UCM can be completed online.

Core Courses (18 credits)

Courses will include instruction in Leadership Development, Foundations of P-20 Education, Development of Learners, Educational Entrepreneurism, Leadership & Ethics in a Diverse Society, and Institutional Research, Assessment, & Accreditation

Dissertation Courses (12 credits)

Dissertation courses are strategically placed at the end of the 2-year program.

Students will work together in a cohort model over two years (Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters) to complete the degree. Courses will be online or via internet communication.
