BHS Car Drawing Attendance Parameters

1. The attendance accounting goes off of our official 10:00 attendance records
2. Each 6 week attendance reporting period is a new opportunity for students to enter their name in the drawing.  

1. There will be 3 winners each 6 weeks
2. If a student’s name is entered for the final drawing for the car, he or she will have a 1 in 18 chance of winning  
3. Each 6 weeks reporting period offers a fresh start, new chance, and incentive for the students to earn perfect attendance.

3. With that, students have the potential to have their names entered into the drawing a total of 6 times for the year.
4. Mr. Watts will announce the winning student Friday, May 29, 2026.

6 Weeks Reporting Periods        

1st 6 Weeks:        August 13th - September 24th                        

2nd 6 Weeks:        September 25th -October 30th                        

3rd 6 Weeks:         November 3rd - December 19th                        

4th 6 Weeks:        January 7th - February 17th                                

5th 6 Weeks:        February 18th - April 2nd                                

6th 6 Weeks:        April 7th - May 22nd

2nd 6 Weeks:        November 6th                        

3rd 6 Weeks:         January 12th                        

4th 6 Weeks:        March 2nd                                

5th 6 Weeks:        April 17th                                

6th 6 Weeks:        May 28th

Absences that DO NOT Count Against earning Perfect Attendance Each 6 Weeks

• College Visit (Limit of 2 - Seniors Only)
• Mandated Court Appearance
• Funeral Excuse For Household Family Member (with proof)
• Homebound
• Military Recruiting Meeting
• Act. Military Visit
• Religious Holy Day
• Present- Not in Class
• School Related Activity
• Serving As An Election Clerk
• Getting A Driver's License
• Play TAPS At A Funeral
• Field Trips
• Dept of Family & Protective Services Related Absence

Discipline placements that WILL COUNT AGAINST earning perfect attendance each 6 weeks (for car drawing purposes only)

• ISS Placement
• Suspension
• DAEP Placement

How To Find Out How Many Times A Student Has Earned Perfect Attendance

1.  Access Brenham ISD’s Attendance HUB by going to  Brenham ISD.net > Departments > PEIMS Department

2. In the Attendance Quicklinks, go to Perfect Attendance

3. Click the arrow to expand the perfect attendance rosters for each 6 weeks.  Each time a student’s name is posted for a 6 weeks is another chance to have his or her name entered in the drawing!
