Call Controls
Calls require speaker and microphone access. The top of the call screen shows the contact’s profile image, contact name & number, type of call, and call control options. There are different call control options available when handling a live call:
- Earpiece - Enable earpiece or loudspeaker mode
- Hold - Pause a call
- Mute - Disable in-call audio
- Blind Transfer - Randomly transfer a call to another agent
- DTMF (Dual tone multi-frequency) - Selecting the DTMF button directs you to a dialer while on a call to send DTMF tones to the connected call.
- Attended Transfer - Transfer a call to a specific agent
- End Call - Disconnect a call
Inbound Calls
The top of the inbound call screen shows the contact’s profile image, contact number, connection status, and call control options. To accept inbound calls, ensure that your availability status is set to “Available”.
- Tap the Accept button to answer an incoming call or tap the Reject button to end an incoming call.
Background Incoming Call Notification
Through a push notification, you are notified of incoming calls while the app is in the background.
- To receive a call push notification, ensure that your availability status is set to “Available”.
- On the call push notification screen, Tap the Accept button to answer an incoming call or tap the Reject button to end an incoming call.
Outbound Calls
There are three (3) ways to make an outbound call:
Via Dialer
- If prompted, tap Allow to enable the app to record audio and access contacts.
- You may choose to manually input the contact number on the dialer screen and then tap the Call icon to initiate a call.
- You may also tap the Contacts button on the bottom right corner of the dialer screen to access your Contact list.
- Tap the Call icon next to the contact name to start a call.
Via Contact List or Phonebook
- If prompted, tap Allow to enable the app to access contacts.
- Browse the contact list or use the search field to find a specific contact you want to call.
- Tap the Call icon next to the contact name to start a call.
Via Call History
- If prompted, tap Allow to enable RingQ to access contacts.
- From the Call History logs, choose a specific contact you want to call.
- Tap the Call icon next to the contact name to start a call.
