Commission Process
- 🆕 I’m now offering commissions through Ko-fi: ko-fi.com/Faranae.
- Ko-fi processes payments safely and securely at checkout;
- My listings display in $CAD as it is my native currency;
- You can still email me at any time to chat about an order, get a quote, or with any questions at comms@faranae.com;
- Quotes finalized through email remain valid for 6 months!
- 📊 Queue, status, and quotes are managed on Trello: trello.com/b/s4nTv9O4.
- When purchased, your project will be added to my queue as a “card”;
- To protect your privacy all project cards are text-only and partially anonymized. Any visual previews or revisions are discussed privately, unless you explicitly consent to public posting or streaming.
- Once all references and details have been provided, your card will move to the “Ready to Begin” column, then in /out of the “In Progress” column as I work;
- I may pause periodically to confirm details or check-in with a progress update. Please take a few minutes of your day to review the in-progress piece to check for any errors or missing details. I will not continue until you give the all-clear, giving you as much time as you need to request adjustments;
- Note: Some commission types do not include edits or revisions!
- 🗓️ I try to deliver files within 5-10 business days of starting a project.
- My turnaround can sometimes be affected by workload, complexity, or my health. If your project's timeline will be impacted, I'll contact you directly.
- Please save any delivered files to your own storage. I am not responsible for work lost due to expired hyperlinks, hidden Youtube videos, etc.
Current Discounts
Most discounts fluctuate and are not automatic; Please contact me for details.
- Familiar Faces - Commissions involving a character design purchased/adopted from me (or certain other artists*) may be eligible for a small discount.
- Fantastic References - A small “thank you” from me to you for providing thorough references. Be they MSPaint doodles or image search collages, it helps me out!
- Supporter Discount - I am re-tooling my patron discount to fit Ko-fi’s model, and to offer some extra benefits. Stay tuned!
*This discount partially exists to encourage y’all to check out the adoptable offerings of my friends and family! Currently offering discounted commissions involving character designs purchased from: Spudinacup, Thelostmoongazer, Blindkite, Madram, Kodaris, Nopedog, and Tobi.
Refund Policy
If you need to request a refund, please contact me BEFORE work begins.
- If I have already started on your project, I can only offer partial refunds under extreme circumstances. Thank you for understanding;
- Refunds are not available once your project has been delivered;
- Certain listings may be labeled as non-refundable or final sale.
Content Use/Consent Policies
- Art commissions are strictly digital unless otherwise discussed;
- All commissioned work is yours to use in any non-commercial/non-profit way you see fit. Transfer of copyright may be required for other uses;
- I maintain copyright to the artwork itself unless otherwise discussed;
- I do not permit the re-sale or “basing” of adopted character designs (unless otherwise discussed) since I document owners for discount purposes;
- I reserve the right to post completed work on my portfolios or social media;
- I will not post or stream your work-in-progress without your permission;
- If you would like your project to remain secret for a while, or if you would prefer it remain unposted entirely, please let me know at the time of ordering!!
- Artwork involving real, living people may require the consent* of involved parties;
- Ship/intimate art between privately-owned original characters always requires the consent** of involved parties.
*Actual real-life people, not their characters. Links to permission-granting posts or similar are fine.
**Posts canonizing private OC relations are acceptable consent for ship art, but additional consent may be required for work involving VAYOR/NSFW content if it is not explicitly permitted by the owner(s).
Original Characters are an extension of the artist who created them. Please respect the wishes and comfort of creators by not shipping their OCs without permission. 💜
Upgrade Policy
Sketches > Cleanup > Masking/Flats > Color; (You get the idea!)
Upgrade your art to a higher level of completion at a later date! Priced on a case-by-case basis. Just send me the source image* and ask for a quote.
*I will upgrade pieces from other artists with permission from all parties involved. Please obtain written consent from the original artist–and if applicable any other commissioners–before contacting me about an upgrade. No exceptions.

- <18yr characters in any VAYOR/NSFW/NSFL situations - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Every artist has hard limits. Please respect that these are mine currently, and adding your interest to this list is not meant as a personal attack.
