What is Value Line?

Value Line is an independent publisher of investment and financial research. They offer data, analysis, and commentary on select companies and industries.  

Students can search for information on the companies Value Line tracks and download comprehensive reports.

How can I access Value Line?

From the Library Homepage, click on the All Databases link under the Research Tools menu.

Scroll through the list (databases are listed alphabetically) until you see Value Line Investment Survey and click on the link. Or use this direct link to Value Line.

Finding Company Info in Value Line

To find information on a specific company, type the company name or ticker symbol into the search box that says “Company name or symbol.”

Click on the name of the company you want from the list of suggestions to view data, analysis, and commentary.

Downloading Reports in Value Line

From a Company Page, you can download the reports on that company as a PDF.

Look to the top right corner of the company page for the “PDF Reports” button.

The available reports are listed by date.

Click on a date to download that report.

Value Line issues reports on major companies approximately every three months.

Understanding a Value Line Report

A Value Line report presents a lot of information in a small package, but there are tools in Value Line to help.

To learn more about using and understanding Value Line reports, go to the “Investment Education” menu in Value Line and click on the “Tools and Guides” page.
