- Iowa would receive $793 million in education funding from the HEROES Act
- The K-12 portion would be $516 million
- That’s enough to save or restore the positions of:
- 2,725 teachers,
- 930 teacher aides, and
- 1,813 other education workers.
Direct Aid to State and Local Governments
- Iowa would receive $5.8 billion in direct state aid
- Local governments in Iowa would receive $3.5 billion in direct aid
Healthcare
- Iowa would receive $3.5 billion in Medicaid funding through the HEROES Act
