MVSA 2021 Fall Rec League

COVID Statement

MVSA will be complying with State of Maryland and Montgomery County requirements associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are modifying the approach to the indoor recreational league by:

1. Requiring masks for all participants regardless of vaccination status
2. Minimizing the number of teams in a facility at a time for practices and competitions
3. Building in transition time so teams will fully exit a facility before the next teams arrive
4. Requiring electronic whistles for practices and competitions
5. Eliminating celebratory physical contact
6. Not switching sides during matches
7. Restricting and/or eliminating spectators based on County, State, or facility requirements.  

Should MCPS and/or Montgomery Village facilities not be available for use during the season we will shift the recreational league to the outdoor format that was used last fall.  That is, we would eliminate weekday practices and use a practice-then-play approach on Saturdays and Sundays at Patsy Huson field in Montgomery Village.
