Membership News - December 2022

Dear Members:

This coming Friday, December 9 is our holiday gathering, where we will be  making holiday cards for a Good Cause followed by a festive holiday luncheon, held at the Greenwich Botanical Center. Volunteers to decorate and set up should arrive by  9am. The card making will begin at 10am followed by the holiday party about 11:30am. Please bring small paper cutting scissors for cutting and creating the cards.

Be sure to check the Members’ page on our club website gardenclubofoldgreenwich.org/members to access all the programs and schedules for the year under the header “Meeting Schedules”. Visit the website calendar to keep up to date on scheduled club activities, such as the upcoming Holiday Garden Therapy days.  If you have important club dates to share, please let Kara Donahue, Corresponding Secretary know.

Louise Weber is creating another holiday tree to enter in the Greenwich Historical Society’s Festival of Tabletop Trees on behalf of the club. See below for date and times to see it. Currently, the first tree entered in this holiday event is currently gracing the reading room at the Perrot Library.

Best,

Martina

Volunteer Needed

We need help in creating short slideshows for our website’s homepage. The slideshow is the first thing that people see when they visit the website and we want to let people know what we do. To keep it fresh, we like to update it every month or two and we need someone to create them. This would be a great activity for  members because it will let you know what the club is doing.

Creating a slide show is actually quite easy - if you have ever used Word or PowerPoint you will find it very familiar. Char will be available to walk you through it and there is a simple template to guide you.

Email Char at info@gardenOG.org
