Welcome to the Year Five blog - Edale 2022

Good morning! We’ve arrived safely in Manchester and have begun exploring the Lowry and Imperial War Museums.

What an action packed first day we’ve all had! After arriving at Edale, we quickly got settled into our dorms, and whizzed off to multiple fun-filled activities. The children fully embraced the challenges they faced and had lots of fun!

Good morning all! Day two is off to a great start! After a good night’s sleep, we enjoyed a delicious selection of breakfast options including cereals, toast and a cooked breakfast. We will soon be embarking on our exhilarating activities. The activities include:

• Abseiling
• Canoeing
• Weaselling
• Problem solving
• Crates stacking and Leap of Faith
• Orienteering
• Night hike

Another busy day for us all! The children were once again fantastic. They have been very courageous and have thrown themselves into everything the site has to offer. It has been lovely seeing the children in a different light, developing important learning characteristics such as collaboration, resilience, risk taking, initiative and independence. More tomorrow!
