MotoTrak Mouse Isometric Pull Module Assembly

  1. Vulintus ships the mouse version of the MotoTrak isometric pull module without the manipulandum attached. The force sensor on the module is very sensitive to impacts, and removing the manipulandum helps to prevent damage if the shipment is handled roughly.
  2. In the isometric pull module box, you will find the module base, and a small bag with two manipulanda and screws to attach them. The two manipulanda will look like this:

  1. The stirrup-shaped manipulandum is the easiest for mice to grasp, and may be best for your research if your injury model is moderate to severe. The vertical post-shaped handle typically requires more controlled paw placement, and is best for mild to moderate injury models. If this is your first time using MotoTrak, you could interchangeably try both manipulanda and see which works best with your model.

  1. Attach the handle to the module using the included M2.5 screws and hex key.
