LOTE
Spanish 1:
- After reviewing the verb form ‘hay’ students will be able to use it with accuracy.
- Students will review unit 3 vocabulary about clothing and numbers and be able to identify the Spanish name for different items of clothing.
Spanish 2:
- Students will present information using familiar words, phrases, and sentences to listeners & readers.
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of the concept of culture through the comparisons of the students own culture and the cultures studied.

Spanish for Native Speakers:

American Sign Language:
- Students will continue learning ASL by utilizing remote learning by completing assignments on Google Classroom, Flipgrid, and hard-copy assignments available for pick-up at AHS.

Objectives

For Parents
● Guide Students through the following activities:
- Activity 1 – read with them Study Spanish.com the verb form ‘Hay’
- Activity 2 – guide them through the Basic Quiz. They may re-take this as many times as they want to before they take a screenshot and email it to their teacher.
- Activity 3 – guide them through the Mini Test. They may re-take this as many times as they want to before they take a screenshot and email it to their teacher.
- Activity 4 – Review unit 3 vocabulary with your child. He should practice the Quizlet vocabulary using the enclosed vocabulary sheet
If your student chooses to complete the Paper Packet instead of online lessons, they can be picked up at the school. Remember to turn-in completed packet to receive credit.

- Activity 2- Grammar- Your student will take a quiz over Past Tense IV- CAR, GAR & Zar Verbs on their Google Classroom. When they finish the quiz, they can take a screenshot to get feedback from their teacher.
- Activity 3- Cultures-Your student will watch a video on Google Classroom or read a printed article & answer the questions given.

- Activity 1: Study Unidad 5 vocabulary words
- Activity 2: Vocabulary- use Spanish 3 unidad 5 to fill in a paragraph about a job.
- Activity 3: Read about Manuel Jalon, un inventor humanista. Then work on finding the vocabulary translations.
- Activity 4: Escribe un parrafo describiendo el trabajo de alguien de tu familia y tu opinion sobre el. On a sheet of paper write about the job someone in your house has. Write about what they do and what is your opinion on it.

American Sign Language
Objectives
- Students will continue learning ASL by utilizing remote learning by completing assignments on Google Classroom, Flipgrid, and hard-copy assignments available for pick-up at AHS.
For Parents and Students ONLINE access:
- Activity 1 - An assignment has been posted on Google Classroom titled “Remote Learning assignment #8. This assignment is a google form “quiz” related to activity sequencing. Students will watch 2 videos uploaded from their signing naturally textbooks of people signing what they did first and then what they did afterwards. Students will then identify these activities by answering multiple choice questions on their google form and submitting it for grading.
- Activity 2 - An assignment has been posted on google classroom titled “Remote Learning Assignment #9”. This assignment is a google form “quiz” related to signed sentence comprehension. Students will watch a video from lifeprint.com of 10 signed sentences and then answer questions on what was signed in the video in the dropdown answer menu. Students will then submit for grading.
For Students with Printed assignments
- Activity 1 - Students will pick-up a hard copy of an ASL vocabulary quiz from Lifeprint.com. The Quiz is titled “Lesson 3 Quiz” and is over previously learned in class vocabulary related to basic greetings and common-use words. The Quiz includes pictorial representations of signs that the students can see and then answer multiple choice questions for which sign is being shown.
