NOVEMBER 22, 2021 Campus Notification: COVID-19

The university recently received notification of three (3) individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, and they may have been potentially infectious with the virus while on campus. All three were last on campus on November 15 in the William S. White Building and attended an off campus clinical instruction on November 18. The university was notified of the positive test result on November 21.

Contact tracing is being conducted and will continue in these cases. If anyone is identified as a “close contact” they will be contacted directly regarding any next steps.

We strongly encourage all members of the campus community to remain vigilant against COVID-19 by adhering to health and safety precautions designed to mitigate the spread of the virus, including the University’s face-covering policy. Additional information on staying safe can be found through your healthcare provider, The Centers for Disease Control, The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, and the Genesee County Health Department.
