Academic Integrity Policy
Fremont International
As Fremont International Academy educators, our role is to raise students' awareness of academic honesty and directly guide students through an exploration of the ethical issues related to academic honesty, including the appropriate use of technology. Teachers encourage honest, and critical PYP learning by creating inquiry based assessments tasks, where creativity is encouraged and the use of information helps solve a problem. Increasing depth of knowledge is encouraged by utilizing the PYP approaches to learning so that students can engage in significant and relevant problem-based scenarios. We teach ways to acknowledge others, and reflect on the learning process. We encourage students to develop and focus on intrinsic motivation for achieving learning goals.
Examples of Academic Dishonesty:
Some examples of academic dishonesty may include but are not limited to:
- cheating/ plagiarizing
- forgery/ fraud
- false identification/ refusal to identify self.

- Student/Teacher/Parent Conference
- Reflective Recess
- Functional Behavioral Assessment
- Behavioral Intervention Plan
- Behavior Support Plan
- Mentoring Program
- Peer Mediation
- Referral to Administrator
