Minutes April 30, 2018
Members present: Linda Coffman, Deb Richards, Kay Holcomb, Juanita Brooks, Ken McCabe, Richard Ebert, Melinda Vincent, Pat Wilbur, Rev. Brown
Members worked collaboratively to assemble 174 hygiene kits for the Urbana 5th graders. Kits will be delivered to East Elementary before May 4th.
The “First Sunday” mission project for June will be designated to the Senior Citizen Center. Paper products, toiletries, dishwasher soap, and detergent are the current needs. July will be designated for Messiah Manor activities projects with assistance from Lisa Ebert.
“Blessings in a Bottle” mission collection for Sycamore House will occur from Mothers’ Day (May 13) to Fathers’ Day (June 17).
Juanita has received several mission surveys and will tally the results and report them at the June meeting.
Beau announced that he and Michele Slone will be taking sixth graders to Louisville for a “Go and Learn” experience sometime this summer.
Habitat for Humanity build is on schedule for the June 16th date. Patti will contact those who signed up for the original date of April 28 to find if they are still available.
Three hundred dollars was sent to the Messiah Lutheran Church for the Back-to-School project for school supplies.
Child protection training will be held June 3, 2018 at 9:30 at the church for any volunteers working with children in VBS, Sunday School, or LOGOS.
Next meeting will be June 11, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
