Oct 2025 Livestreaming changes: As part of my evolving social media strategy, I'll be focusing more on shortform and longform content (Tiktok/Reels/Shorts & YouTube) and putting fewer hours into livestreaming. Instead of streaming every day, two times per day 4-6 hours, I'll stream at most once per day, usually in the morning or early afternoon for 1-2 hours. The best way to know when I'm streaming is to simply turn on notifications. |
Livestream activities
As part of the reduction in livestream hours, I will no longer offer fixed activities on specific days. Instead, I'll treat all the livestreaming I do as a hangout opportunity, with my focus on engaging with my friends. I'll still exercise, stretch, meditate, etc. but the focus will still be to connect with others rather than the activity itself.
If you aren't familiar with mindfulness meditation or you otherwise just want a quick primer on what it is and how it is helpful, read my blog post.
As a beginner, you'll benefit most from guided meditations and for that I recommend the Waking Up app. You can get a free month of access with my invite code, and honestly the app is a steal at $10/month for what it offers. Note: I get no benefit from recommending the app; I just believe it's a great app with a massive content library and it appears to be made for the sole purpose of helping people on their mindfulness journey (as opposed to primarily for the purpose of making money off you).
Lastly, if you are literally starting for the first time (or it's been a while), I highly recommend you review my tips for beginners (it's part of the same blog post referenced above). Also, you may not want to start with 1 hour sessions right away, in the same way that if you are a beginner in strength training you don't want to go too hard before your muscles have acclimated to exercise. Meditation can be challenging for many people at first and it may be more prudent to ease into it — small amounts of daily practice are much more sustainable for most people. Overall, just listen to your body. If you are having trouble sitting for long periods of time because of physical or mental discomfort, stick to shorter sessions until you are ready for longer ones.
