  1.  Does the Town Council have any questions about the library?

  1. Local spending-Visa, Friends, Library Board, Foundation, Staff, Patrons, and Guests.  The library doesn’t have a Charge account at Buck’s or Gambles

  1. Programming-In-House Storytime is cancelled, Facebook Storytime will continue, Book Discussion Group will continue into the fall, Stitch n Bitch, Paper Crafts and Master Gardener discussion on Saturdays

Monthly Programs:  We started with Lavender Lori Parr February 17. 13cnt.

April 15 Keiko Ogawa Origami 14cnt.

 Rube Wrightsman Writing Your Book: From Inspiration to Completion 18cnt.

 Ryan Wilbur Bear Conflicts and Steps to Reduce Them June 9.

  1. Facility Use- WIC does well-child checkups the first Wednesday of the month in the back office.  

The Hot Springs Wrangler 4-H Club held their April and May business meeting at the library.  

The Friends of the Library held their annual spring Honoring Tea May 20 at the library the honoree was the late Liz Fee. The tea was well attended.  The County Extension Office will be checking canning kettle gauges at the library July 11.

 The Friends of the will have their summer fundraiser Saturday July 22.  Rummage sale donations can be dropped off at the library.

The Book sale will end July 15, 2023.

  1. The library has turned in their Estimated Revenue and Expenditure budget to the Town Clerk.

The Library Board of Trustees has voted to stop offering the Patron Orders through the library’s operating budget in the next fiscal year. Patron Orders are a service that doesn’t lend itself well to town or county budget practices and has garnered audit attention. The library will still be able to provide the service through the Friends of the Library.

Inventory is still in progress due to unforeseen time obstacles.  

The library received a $1000 grant from Town Pump Charitable Foundation to continue the Books in Search of Kids program again this year.  The materials have been ordered and we will be at the Farmers Market every Saturday starting June 17, 2023.
