INT. SUPERMARKET - SUNSET
A young woman, HALLEY, browses the produce section with headphones in her ears. Her movements are relaxed and prosaic, as she picks up her groceries and examines them.
In stark contrast, the BACKGROUND SHOPPERS move with frantic energy - clearing shelves, filling their carts, checking their phones with worried expressions. This is barely noticed by HALLEY, almost as if the music is blocking out the outside world.
Halley walks towards the check-out line, she moves in a confident, continuous motion.
SLAM TO:
INT. SUPERMARKET - MOMENTS LATER
The camera follows HALLEY as she is done checking out, she bags her groceries and continues walking out.
EXT. SUPERMARKET PARKING LOT - CONTINUOUS
Sarah exits the doors, grocery bag in hand. She slows down slightly.
A massive planet dominates the skyline. It is beautiful, terrifying, and almost impossibly close. The music crescendos. The surface of the planet is filled with storms of color, blue, orange and violet, it casts an ethereal glow over the parking lot, supplementing the already beautiful dusk sky.
Halley's jaw tightens. She walks deliberately, her movements now feel less relaxed, less confident, yet still prosaic, as if she's being forced to keep walking. The song on her headphones slows down.
CUT TO:
INT. SARAH'S CAR - CONTINUOUS
Sarah places her groceries in the passenger seat. She begins sitting down, and she turns on the car. The radio comes to life as she rests herself in the seat.

RADIO HOST (CONT'D)
The President has declared a state
of emergency as civil unrest...
Sarah connects her phone to the bluetooth. The radio cuts off mid-sentence, replaced by her own music.
She sets her phone down on the center console, puts the car in drive, and pulls away from the parking lot, with the planet taking up the background.
The End.
