Hello everyone! As we make our way toward the regular season I just wanted to send out a quick reminder about game times. All House League Games are stop time and have a 3 minute warm up.
Games with 1 hour ice times are three 13 minute periods
Games with 1 hour and 15 minutes are three 15 minute periods
Games with 1.5 hours are three 20 minute periods.
Small delays throughout the game can add up causing the drop clock rule to be in effect. If there is five (5:00) minutes left on the ice time, after the first stoppage of play, the game clock shall be reset to two (2:00) minutes stop time.
l also want to touch base on our incident reporting process. I have attached the reporting process to this post if you need to use it. Incident reporting is for when there is a blatant breach of conduct. This is not an avenue to get officials' calls reversed or to report non calls by officials.
Officials are human and more often than not, young and learning as well. They will make mistakes like the rest of us while they learn and improve their skills.
And don't forget the 24 hour rule! Wait 24 hours if something has bothered you before approaching a coach or another parent. The 24 hour rule allows everyone time to cool down so things don't escalate.
