 Previous Minutes Report: Mike Kotay

Membership Report:

It was noted that we presently have a Club Membership of 43 regular members and 14

Conservation Members. Two potential new regular members were present at the meeting.  They were Eric Barnhart and Chuck Ison. By unanimous vote both were welcomed as regular members to the Club.

Tenant Property – Chimney – A Chimney Sweep needs to be hired for this job and

 coordinated with our tenants.

New Business: The slate of Officers and Directors will be emailed to all

members and will be voted on at a future meeting.

Director Joe Szewczak reported on the latest news from the Lebanon

County Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs. The Club will host a speaker who

will provide us information about tree planting. Joe also reported that he

had received concerns about the need for additional safety instruction for

the shooting activities for the Youth Field Day.  The members agreed that

this would be a priority for next years field day.  Finally, Joe noted that

there will be 14 youths chosen by the Federation to participate in a Wild

Pheasant hunt and that applications for this hunt need to be submitted to

the Federation by August 3, 2018.

Member Kirby Keller mentioned that the Federation would be manning a

booth at the Lebanon County Fair held during the last week of July at the

County Fairgrounds.  This is an excellent opportunity for us to make

residents aware of what we do and the many opportunities which exist at

the Club.  Any informational information we wish to provide would be

distributed at the Federation Booth during the Fair.

Member Bob Crosby mentioned that we should make additional payments to

the principle balance on the mortgage since the amount of interest we

receive from our other accounts is much smaller that the interest we pay on

our mortgage.  It was agreed that we will do this in the upcoming months

although no definite amount of payment was specified.

For the good of the Club:

We will prepare a list of all Club Contact information and account numbers to

be used by utility companies and others who have a need for this

information.  This will simplify a request by an outside group who may need

this information when contacted for service.

Saturday August 11th. Lists of tasks to be provided. We may also have a work day in September to replace the June date which was cancelled.

  1. National Hunting and Fishing Day (Middle Creek) – Sunday September 30, 2018.  This is a big day and help is greatly needed.  Please consider providing some time for the Club on this date.  We need help for setup and tear down and for the deer (2) roasting. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Youth Pheasant Hunt December 15, 2018.

Motion to adjourn was made by John Shutter and seconded by Gary Rehm. The meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.

Respectfully Submitted

Mike Kotay, Secretary
