Hey there! Welcome to my date me doc.
About me
I am 5 '10”, 36 M, software engineer at big tech. I have lived in Rajasthan, Delhi, Texas, Seattle, NYC and now SF.
I grew up in a small town in India. It was a blessing to grow up in a small community where everyone knew everyone for the most part. I do miss that small analog world sometimes. I have lived in the US for about a decade and it has really shaped me. I am really fond of the life I have in the US.
I am looking for someone to spend my life with. I have built a great life but there’s room for more. I want to have the real thing where the love is true and deep, where we understand each other without the need to say it out loud. I am deeply self aware and always trying to grow. I can have disagreements, and get angry and frustrated at times but I learn from it and try to do better next time around. I care about the people in my life and show up for them.
I am sensitive to human and animal suffering. I became vegetarian to live by those values and try to help people when I can. My family and culture taught me kindness and caring at a deeper level, and I am grateful for that.
I am
- Curious and have a growth mindset. I want to be better in all aspects of my life.
- A minimalist. I like to live a simple life enriched by experiences.
- Adventurous and spontaneous. I live in the moment unfazed by uncertainty. Some recent spontaneous trips:
- A friend and I decided to do a road trip down south from NYC but after sitting in the car, we decided to go north. We ended up in Montreal when I had packed for Florida. I would definitely do it again.
- I took a trip to Peru on a 24 hour notice. Completed a 4 day hike from Cusco to Machu Picchu. I made new friends, explored Lima's food scene.
- A believer in doing hard things often. * I jumped on the cold shower bandwagon 4 years ago. It’s been great. Cold water beats caffeine by a mile (I still drink at least 2 cups of coffee a day).
- Summited Mount Rainier. Did it because it was a hard, awe-inspiring adventure. I didn’t think I could do it and the only way to prove myself wrong was to stand on the summit.
- Interested in the outdoors. I like to hike, camp, backpack and summit mountains. Okay, full transparency I have only climbed one mountain but I liked it.
- Interested in building a community and living within walking distance from the people I love.
- I value fitness immensely. I strength train 3 days a week, go on long bike rides whenever I can, run up twin peaks sometimes.
- An optimist. Excited about the world of possibilities with a desire to positively impact people with my work. I have published papers on Health AI and built products to improve productivity of software engineers.
About you
Honestly, I am a little hesitant here as I have been wrong many times about this part. However, I think it’s important to have some common interests.
- Looking for a life partner and would like to have a monogamous relationship.
- Looking to have biological children.
- Intellectually curious and ready to put in the effort to make both of our lives better. I think wisdom is in realizing that nobody’s perfect and you have to put in effort in every aspect of life.
- Has a growth mindset and is excited to be better everyday.
