Cosplay Contest Rules
- All entries in the cosplay contest must adhere to all of Oz-Con’s general cosplay rules, even if you’re only here and in costume for the contest.
- It is possible to win more than one category. Anyone can enter the Hallway competition, even if they are entered in the onstage competition. However, you may only enter in 1 category for the onstage competition
- Anyone entering the onstage cosplay contest must have some form of proof that they constructed or altered whichever parts of the costume they are claiming to have done. This includes but is not limited to any kind of progress picture the entrant may have, as well as the knowledge to explain the construction/alteration process they took part in. If you cannot provide sufficient evidence of this, you will immediately be moved to the exhibition category of the contest. Note: This rule in particular does not apply to those entering in the kids or exhibition category.
- For anyone who wants to enter a cosplay they made, but doesn’t want to wear it, you must still be present for the pre-judging along with the wearer of the costume and you must be able to provide sufficient evidence of having made whatever parts of the costume you claim to have made.
