- Majority of patient interaction at this site was pre-operative and post-operative refractive surgery care, as well as patient counseling. Observation included cataract, corneal, refractive and lid surgeries. Several days were spent shadowing ophthalmologists in their field of expertise.

- An extremely fast-paced, high volume site, working mostly with elderly and end-stage ocular disease patients. Observation and assistance in several surgeries including blepharoplasties, minor lid procedures, glaucoma surgeries, temporal artery biopsies, pterygium excisions and ectropion and entropion repair.

- A military setting, primary care site. High volume of healthy patients, challenging the interns to improve efficiency of basic optometric care. Exposure to a wide range of contact lens patients and challenging soft, toric and rigid gas permeable contact lens fits.
