RAFT HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION FUNDS:

Are you unable to pay your rent or mortgage due to COVID-19? Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) Emergency Rental & Mortgage Assistance (ERMA) For individuals and families at risk of being displaced or forced to leave due to their homes due to COVID-19 employment loss, there are programs that can help. RAFT and ERMA are programs that can provide eligible households up to $4,000 to help keep their housing, obtain new housing, or otherwise avoid becoming homeless, regardless of source of income or lack of income.

Recovery Learning Community/Wildflower Alliance
20 Chapman Street, Greenfield
Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:30-3:30pm
Four community members can be in the space at a time for the purpose of using bathrooms, warming up, accessing a computer, and drying off. We are offering snacks, sandwiches, and other basic supplies as much as we are able, and prioritizing people who have no other safe space to be in and/or who are at risk of forced hospitalization or similar.
We ask that people who do have a space to live in continue to stay home and make use of our on-line and phone supports.

HRA’s main office and local officers will be closed to the public until further notice. We are taking the following precautions to ensure that staff, clients and residents are kept as healthy as possible during this COVID-19 virus outbreak.
Please note: In all circumstances when interacting with staff, please maintain at least a 6 foot distance.
Paperwork and Rent Checks: Please submit all paperwork and rent checks in the secure drop box, located to the right of the main entrance. The box is locked and can’t be accessed by any means from outside the building. It is checked each morning and will be throughout the day. All incoming mail is date stamped upon opening.
Questions: Please call the office (413-863-9781- 9:00am-12:00pm & 12:30pm-4:00pm) for assistance with all questions. This is subject to change without notice. If the receptionist is unable to answer your questions, she will connect you with the appropriate staff person. If you get their voice mail, be sure to leave a clear message, spelling your first and last name, and leaving your phone number.
If we are unable to assist you over the phone, we will work with you to schedule an appointment. You will be contacted the day before your appointment to confirm your time. Appointments may be canceled without sufficient notice if the health of the client and/or staff is of concern. Please contact us if you are ill, we will be happy to reschedule you.
These precautions will be subject to further evaluation or guidance from public health officials.

Northampton Housing Authority offices will be closed to the public from March 16, 2020 to March 27, 2020. Our on-call maintenance team will be available to complete any emergencies that arise.
