The Northside boys' tennis team lost the first match of the season Wednesday evening against a tough Center Grove Central team.

  • Varsity lost 1-4, with Sam Song winning at singles.
  • JV lost 5-6 with winners including Jianing Wang at singles, the doubles team of Michael Crossman/Lincoln West, and the doubles team of Jacob Dettmer/Brady Redelman.

Both Spartan football teams left Bloomington’s Tri-North with a defeat last night. They will be back in action at HOME next week, looking to take down Jackson Creek.

Last night the Northside cross country team went all the way up to

Zionsville to compete. The meet was a Co-Ed relay, where each pair of runners ran twice. The Northside squad finished 5th (out of 10 teams)

Representing the Spartans:

24th Charley Kerber & Akot Tong

32nd Maggie Russell & Rylan Hottell

38th Lily Priest & Nolan Pickup

In the reserve races, both teams got 7th place (out of 11 schools)

After 3 races in 5 days, the team gets a couple days off. They travel to Brown County Saturday morning for the Tri-North Invitational.
